Hautes Côtes de Nuits Rouge

The newest appellation, formed in 2000.
Located in “altitude” (400m), this plot is relatively precocious (East exposure).

The balanced texture is surprising. This wine explodes in red berries aromas matching well with white meats and roasted served with onion and fruit confits.

Its moderate acidity makes it a wine for drinking young.

Ageing in barrels (20% new oak)

Parcel

Concoeur

This 1.73 ha single block parcel is situated in the commune of Concoeur just above the village of Vosne-Romanée. Originally bare of any vines, it was planted in stages (1996,1997 and 1998).

The 0.73 ha of Pinot Noir were planted on the lower, flatter part of the parcel, where fossiliferous lava is in great abundance and assures excellent drainage.

We often find in this place pieces of ammonites, hulls and sea shell prints.
