Bourgogne Rouge

Pinot Noir

This red Burgundy is often bursting with fruit. It is very Pinot. Barrel ageing in 30% new oak gives it the weight and suppleness necessary to soften the tannins, which are not quite as refined as in our crus.

It is surprising to note, that given its less noble origins, certain vintages have an ageing potential of more than 10 years. This wine will accompany white and red meat, either roasted or cooked in wine sauces, charcuterie and soft cheeses.

Petits échos du millésime 2015 :

The Wine Advocate:(87-89)

Drink Date 2017 - 2024

The 2015 Bourgogne Pinot Noir, which comes from vines between Nuits Saint-Georges and Flagey-Echézeaux, saw up to 40% new oak due to the tannins. It has an attractive bouquet with lightly spiced black fruit, touches of limestone and freshly tilled soil emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, the new oak neatly integrated with good substance towards the quite elegant finish. This is one of the best Bourgognes that I encountered from the 2015 vintage.
