2007 is my 20 th vinification! I hope for a lot!

A new grand cru is born: Echezeaux

A new investment in Minervois with 14 Ha and a modern and ecologic winery with 3 guest’s appartments.

This vintage is a complete surprise with unusual seasons.

After a mild winter, the opening of the buds took place at the middle of april. Then the growing accelerated with the arrival of warm temperatures with a flowering 3 weeks in advance. The harvest should have been near the 25/08/07 or even earlier...

Then, a fresh and rainy weather took place with a need for sun. The botrytis began. We worked all during the summer to eliminate rot by selection of grapes.

The picking time began the 29/08 and finished the 16/09 ... a record! With excellent conditions of maturation wich saved the vintage without giving us some wines made for aging a long time.

Good sugar levels unexpected and good sanitary conditions after selections but not impressive acidities.

White wines are very fine with fruit and minerality. Easy fermentations and full of tension...

Red wines are clean, with soft tanins and even quite smooth...

I think we have a pretty small vintage with fruit and elegance and that as far as it is concerned is a success!
