Summer

Tying up ends mid-July while ploughing continues. One final green pruning takes place before we turn our attention to regulating the harvest according to the "style" of grape the year has produced. This is called green harvesting. It takes us approximately three weeks to finish all the vines.

All of these operations are of course accompanied by a surveillance of the sanitary state of each of our parcels (worms, spiders, eutypiose, black measles, pyralids...)

The final fungicide treatment takes place around August 15th as well as the last ploughing.

At the beginning of September we administer the final trim. Then we remove the trellis hooks to facilitate the harvest while finishing to thin out the leaves and grapes. The harvest announces the knell of the fading summer.
